Manda Collins spent her teen years wishing she'd been born a couple of centuries earlier, preferably in the English countryside. Time travel being what it is, she resigned herself to life with electricity and indoor plumbing, and read lots of books. When she's not writing, she's helping other people use books, as an academic librarian.

after writing so many reviews about poor quality books of late,it is so pleasant to be able to say I thoroughly enjoyed this book and its companions.Lovely characters, good plot and a sensible unhurried story line. thanks to the author and I shall be reading of more of her works as they appear.

My first read by Ms. Collins and I absolutely loved this book. I didn't feel the story was rushed along and it had believable aspects. Neither character was exaggerated and they had depth. I will definitely be reading the next books in this series. *****5stars Read Me Reviews
