Good starter book for a retrospective facillitator

This book breaks down the nuts and bolts of running a retrospective, sometimes to a rediculous level. For instance there is a section on doing outdoor retrospectives that reminds you to bring sunscreen and umbrellas. It also spends an entire chapter explaining how to run remote retrospectives, almost to a roberts rules of order level. These things are helpful if you need them. For someone who needs to get going hosting a retrospective this book will tell you exactly what to do, and some of the thinking behind why this particular method was chosen.
I wish this book had had a bit more of an explanation of the spirit of the retro and what you should be driving towards as a retrospective facillitator, even if that is just driving a conversation. All in all this is a very helpful book for getting started but will need to be supplimented by other books later.
The book did help me cement my reasoning behind why I was doing certain things and makes it easier to explain to others the method behind the madness. For instance there is discussion of using anonymous paper notes instead of opinions out loud to help those who are less comfortable in speaking up in front of a group.

Good practical overview how to run retrospectives

This book provides a great overview of how to run good retrospectives and meetings in general. While all the recommendations and tips on there are very apt and useful I've found it a bit too practical and general. Most chapters are applicable to any form of meeting (which is good) but I would have loved a deeper dive into the psychological challenges and things to look out for with retrospectives.
