True success and happiness belongs to those who master the art of creating their lives

The Oxford Dictionary describes transformation as "a thorough or dramatic change in form or appearance." Seems like a rather daunting undertaking -- until one reads "If I Can, You Can – Transformation Made Easy" by David Zelman PhD.
Dr. Zelman believes that a true self is a transformed self. In this book, he describes the Transitions Process and the four steps to transformation. Through the use of client stories and honest, personal stories from his own journey, we learn that by taking ownership of internal conversations, the ones we have 24/7, we can be free of our past and what's holding us back from a transformed future.
It's such an eye-opening awareness to realize how much our past-based conversations (verbally and mentally) affect our actions, our relationships, our careers, and our lives.
There's one part in the book where Dr. Zelman asks: "Do you want to know why you are the way you are? It's because you are the product of the sum of all the conversations you have ever had, plus the ones that are occurring right now!"
"If I Can, You Can" provides tools to achieve transformation. It's a simple, empowering process. And it is life changing.

I have been waiting for this book for 15 years!

My bias: I know David as a friend and mentor and I have taken his Transitions Course. That said, I am a professor at a health professions college and I use David's understanding of transformation in both my everyday work and in my own teaching to future health care professionals. David's understanding of automatic vs. internal conversations, and the way he is able to explain this in "If I Can, You Can" will be helpful to everyone in all walks of life and in all circumstances. His message is that we have the power to create the world we live in, and if we couple that understanding with our humanity and compassion, we can have a profound positive impact on ourselves and everyone we touch. But David's message goes far beyond health professions education - his message impacts every relationship that we are in. I wish our politicians were required to study with David before entering any political race! And every couple should meet with David before committing to marriage!
But the bottom line for me, knowing David as I do, the man is the real deal. These are not just words to him - this is the essence of HIS life and how he found a path to lasting satisfaction. He is the most alive person I know and spending just a few minutes with him can lift anyone's day. Read this book and if it resonates, create an internal conversation that leads you to one of David's workshops or courses.
David, thank you for writing this book. It will impact humanity.

A powerful and inspirational guide to transform your life!

I'm inspired and in invigorated action after reading David's book. David is a very good friend. We have worked together and been friends since 1981. David's message is consistent with and a powerful expression of what I live and what I teach in my leadership coaching and consulting business.
This book will be powerful for anyone ready for a brighter future professionally and/or personally. It is for those of us that have previously intentionally created breakthroughs in our lives and are ready to reignite or expand that energy and for people that may be exploring their true internal power for the first time. David - thank you for putting all of this in writing in such a useful format. Really great job!
